Service Description
The Moving and Handling course is specifically designed for community carers and teaching assistants. This practical training equips participants with essential skills for safely moving and handling individuals in various settings, including homes, schools, and healthcare facilities. Course Objectives: Attendees will learn effective techniques, body mechanics, T.I.L.E (Task, Individual, Load, Environment) risk assessment, and the safe use of equipment. The course aims to ensure safety for both the caregiver and the individual being assisted. Key Areas of Focus: - Effective moving and handling techniques - Understanding body mechanics to prevent injury - Conducting T.I.L.E risk assessments to identify potential hazards - Safe use of equipment, including hoists and slings - Promoting dignity and respect during care By the end of the course, participants will feel confident in their ability to provide safe and respectful care, enhancing their skills and ensuring the well-being of those they assist.

Cancellation Policy
Course bookings policy 1)Registration: to secure a spot in any course, participants must complete the registration process, which includes providing necessary personal information and payment. 2)Payment: full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise specified. Excepted payment methods will be outlined during the registration process 3)Cancellation and refunds: cancellation is made at least 14 days before the course will receive a full refund. Cancellations made between 7 to 13 days prior will receive a 50% refund. No refund will be issued for cancellations made less than seven days before the course start date 4)Transfers: participants may transfer their registration to another course date or participant provided a request is made seven days before the original course date. A transfer fee may apply. 5) Course changes: we reserve the right to modify course content' schedule, for instructors as necessary. Participants will be notified of any changes as soon as possible. 6)Non-attendance: participants who failed to attend a booked course without prior notice will not be eligible for a refund or transfer. 7)Special requirements if you have any special requirements or need assistance, please inform us during the registration process to ensure appropriate accommodations. 8)Contact information: for any enquiries or concerns regarding bookings, participants can contact our support team through the provided contact details on our website.
